The cottagers at Tory's Landing on Sparrow Lake enjoyed the company of a very special guest when they awoke early one mid summer morning... a baby moose had come to visit!

This young fellow enjoyed grazing in the field and had a good time romping around the property prior to making his way down to the beach for a refreshing dip.

Ultimately the calf braved a long but determined swim across the lake and was last seen clambering up onto a dock on the opposite shore.

Bullwinkle is a welcome visitor any time!

Arbour Day at Tory's Landing

An annual event!

It was a cool and wet day on May 3rd, 2008 but that didn't deter the cottage owners at Tory's Landing from a fun filled day of tree planting... Over 30 volunteers got together to plant 40 new evergreen and maple trees around the cottages and surrounding acreage. Despite the inclement weather, everyone had a great time working together and a wonderful luncheon was enjoyed by all!

Arbour Day was repeated in the spring of 2009 and has now become an annual tradition at Tory's Landing . A true testament to the level of love and commitment these families have for their beautiful cottage community on Sparrow Lake.
